Cute little vintage black velveteen handbag has delicate metal-thread embroidery front and back, velvet ribbon handle, and 2-snap close.
Blue lining with 2 pockets, 1 is divided.
Possibly made using antique materials.
Condition:
Embroidery threads breaking in a few places.
The worker where I bought this bag said its previous owner told her it was part of an English theatre costume.
If so, this could explain why the inside stitching isn’t perfect and the dried elastic around top that once held it closed wasn’t replaced.
Measures 8 3/4 in. square.
4 1/2 in. handle drop.
