Pressbooks were sent only to theater owners to promote and advertise the movie and are extremely rare for thousands of movies.This collection has been of the utmost importance to me and has been stored in a temperature controlled room for many years in a non-smoking home with 2 Hepa air filters and in the summer with a strong dehumidifier.
Please note that these images were all scanned, so you have a perfect example of what you are getting, no shadows, no hiding of the corners or edges. Please understand that pressbooks were made to be cut up by theater managers for promotion and to place advertisements in the newspapers, so uncut pressbooks may be hard to find on many titles, and many have been sold off now over the years since Ebay and other auction sites have been in business, since the late 1990's. A pressbook with minimal cuts (most of ours are uncut) still has value as these are becoming very rare as they have been sold over the years since Ebay began.
Finally, we do not believe in short descriptions and leaving it up to chance. We will never say "general wear" or "signs of use" as the only description.  We try to list EVERY issue a pressbook may have if there are any. After all, these are collectibles, you should know the exact condition of the pressbook (which is why we chose to purchase an industrial scanner to be able to scan the largest pressbooks). This is why you may notice that some descriptions may look like there is much wrong with a certain pressbook, when in reality, we are listing every single tear, even marks the size of a pencil tip, so many can be in very good condition with 3 or 4 very small issues. Many of these may be listed elsewhere as "signs of use" while we take the time to describe everything. There is nothing more accurate than a scan.
You may wonder why many of our scans (pictures of the pressbook pages) state in pink letters "SCAN FOR EBAY" or "Auction Scan" over some of the images. I have discovered that there are people copying these images and enlarging them and making prints to sell on auction web sites. Remember these are direct scans, so please note that this is a message over the image to prevent copying of our images and these statements over the graphics in pink are not in the actual pressbook.

Pressbook has previously been folded. Paramount made a mistake on the page numbering, there are 12 pages but they put the numbers of 2 of the pages in the wrong order. I have 3 copies of this pressbook and all of them are identical. The only issue is a very small tear on the right edge at the fold, it is way under 1/4th of an inch, too small to even measure, otherwise this is in beautiful condition. I have done some research and the ones I can find that have sold on the internet all say either 8 or 9 pages. So this one actually has more. Note that 2 of the pages have printing on only one side.
PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST OF THE PHOTOS FOR THIS AUCTION SHOW 2 PAGES IN EACH PHOTO as set out on an extra large format scanner! There is no better or accurate way to see what you are buying than with a direct scan!

ABOUT MY FEEDBACK:
Since Ebay does not allow sellers to respond to negative feedback, I will do so here.   You will note I have a few negatives.  The feedback that I have received that is negative (3 out of over a thousand), one person never contacted me that they were sent a pressbook with a cut in it (by mistake). I certainly would have corrected the problem immediately if they had just told me. I replaced it immediately only they chose to post negative feedback first. The other 2 are from someone who misunderstood that I send my pressbooks out on Tuesdays and they went at that time Media Mail, which is always an additional 4-8 days.  I completely refunded her total postage (after the negative feedback) even though the items were sent as stated.
If you have a problem, PLEASE contact me and I will do everything I can to correct an error.

ABOUT ME:
I have been a movie fan all of my life, my grandfather worked for both Universal and RKO, and my mother was an editor at Paramount. At age 8 I was taken to the offices and saw piles of pressbooks stacked up.  I loved the pressbooks as they had many pages of information of these movies and such great old movie advertising and could be read many times over. I have collected since I was 8. When I obtained a pressbook, it would immediately go into a plastic bag and was taped shut so no air reached these.  My father owned a furniture store which I worked in for 10 years and the first thing and most important thing he taught me was customer relations, to treasure each and every customer, so I am an old-fashioned seller who cares about each sale. I am ALWAYS available to talk to about anything you might be interested in from my store, and if anything does not please you, I guarantee I will do my best to make you happy.
