Lady Ellens Fine Ware brings a brand new unisex 18thc style Mens/Women's regular adult size Colonial Reenactor Stocking fresh to the marketplace this month never offered before ever: the BLUE WHITE Horizontal Country Striped Stocking. The 2nd picture shows you how they are mailed and the loft the soft cotton has very full and comfortable.....perfect just as Spring time beckons with nicer days to get out and play.
Our Stockings are 28" long measured from top to toe and will clearly go up over your leg as needed when wearing breeches  for men and petticoats for women, and laid flat the body is 4" wide. As such, being a tad wider than our normal stockings we offer online, those of you with larger calf may like these better. The finely ribbed cuff has a touch of elastic to keep Stockings up on your leg without use of gaiters/garters, and a have a fitted and reinforced toe/heel area to prevent uncomfortable bunching in marching boots or dancing shoes.  As you may know, "socks" is a modern word, and knitted stockings is the period correct definition of 18th c leg wear.
In colonial times walnut shells, moss, onion skins, bark, used sugar cone wrappers, indigo, cochineal, etc could all be used to dye fabrics.
These are pure soft cotton to the touch, in an eye catching new Spring pattern, for a good middle class statement of legwear.. They enhance almost any outfit with their fine, period correct form and appearance. In colonial times when men's leg wear was of importance, these portray the correct representation. They are proudly made in America on antique restored machinery and period perfect for the 2021 All-Star season ahead. I put my hand inside to simulate appearance when worn.
