One usually associates Haversacks with men, but there is no reason a lady who likes this can't be seen using it, too.
Period correct simple styling allows one to toss this over the rear back one shoulder, hence very long strap that is double reinforced and firmly and squarely stitched onto rear, to hold a lot of gear! The flap across front is straight line cut with a single 3/4 flat top single shank button of pewter.These appear so simple yet hardly any sutler offers them online and they are very much needed as the final touch to many a costumed appearance. One must be a good seamstress to sew in a straight shot.....aim just as you do in longhunting!
Our Haversack is sewn of super thick cotton canvas duck fabric in natural unbleached color in 18thc styling. The flap is double lined, but the lower pouch is only a single layer. The lower compartment measures 12.5" by 11" and the loop strap double layer handle measures 2.5" wide and 24" long from apex of strap meaning 48" total length overall. It truly is ROUGH and TOUGH for whatever you want to do, or go.
