This is a reproduction 100% natural/gray linen haversack of the 18th to early 19th century period. The body of the haversack measures approximately 14" across & 14" deep. The flap is approximately 8" long at its longest and is fastened with three 3/4" diameter flat & shanked pewter buttons. The three button holes are hand stitched with linen thread (see photo). The linen strap is 2" wide and approximately 38" long. The strap has been shortened by 10" from its original length (refer to photo) and can be lengthened if needed. This haversack has had light use and is in good, serviceable condition. Comes from a smoke free household.
